Biography
LA beginnings; typical garage bands, then began
Recording session work in Hollywood while still in high school.

Moved to Aspen, CO to 'woodshed' own brand of music.
Met many fellow innovators at Telluride Bluegrass Festival,
including New Grass Revival.

Moved to Nashville, TN upon invitation to revamp New Grass.
Originals Sam Bush and John Cowan remain, Banjoist Bela Fleck
and Guitarist/Songwriter Pat Flynn comprise new group.

New Grass attains national and international success
and influence. Credited with initiating Jam Band era. Group
signs initially with Sugar Hill Records, then EMI/Capitol. NGR tours all over the world. Several live and studio performances recorded, all still
available to this day.
As a group, and as individuals, NGR wins several National magazine polls
and Grammy nominations. After almost 10 years of work, New Grass plays final performance opening for Grateful Dead New Years Eve concert at Oakland Coliseum.
Pat moves to first call session player status in Nashville,
performing on approx. 700 CDs over the years, including
many of Nashville's top artists. Garth Brooks releases
Pat's 'Do What You Gotta Do' to Top Ten status on Country radio.

Opens Mea Culpa Music, his own music production entity.
He produces up and coming acts and his own personal projects.
While releasing 3 solo CDs of his own music, Pat works with
Michael Martin Murphey and Leon Russell to update their
shows and records. His efforts w Murphey achieve Murphey's
first ever Grammy nomination. Leon utilizes Pat as bandleader
on his first National TV special post Russel's Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction.
Pat currently has released and is promoting his latest CD, 'reNew'.
