Biography
Myles & the Long Shots (formerly Tammy Lynn & Myles High) reach back in time to the roots of rock & roll, adding their own modern twist to craft their own unique sound. Rockin' Americana at it's best!
On their debut release Turn My Music On, Tammy Lynn and Mike Myles create music that is at once both fresh and timeless.
With a range that runs the gamut from soulful R&B on the title track Turn My Music On, to the country ballad style of Box It Came In, to a raucous rendition of Good Rockin' Tonight, Tammy Lynn brings both technical vocal mastery and deep emotional conviction to every performance.
Her partner in crime, Mr. Myles, has a raw & energetic vocal approach to match the intensity of his guitar sound. From his six string you can hear influences ranging from Chuck Berry to Carl Perkins, Link Wray, Magic Sam, Scotty Moore, and Brian Setzer.
Together the duo worked with other top shelf musicians, including...
"Sax" Gordon Beadle (saxophone)
Travis Colby (piano)
Rick Rousseau (drums & backing vocals)
Jon Ross (upright bass)
Bruce Hilton (slide guitar)
Ray Himmer (upright bass & backing vocals)
Johann Haas (drums)
Charlie Dent (piano)
...to create timeless music that's simultaneously familiar, and fresh.
