Biography

Zach DuBois is a 23-year-old country music singer/songwriter jointly based out of Elkhart, IN and Nashville, TN. He recently completed his 2012 spring acoustic tour, playing 41 shows in 13 different states throughout the Midwest and Southeast.

His latest single, “Back Home Again (Indiana)” is a song inspired by his life on the road this past spring. DuBois explains, “I would always get a feeling of being ‘home’ whenever I crossed the Ohio River on I-65 leaving Louisville, even though I live all the way up in Elkhart. I wanted to try to capture that feeling in a song, and hopefully I did just that with ‘Back Home Again (Indiana).’”

Drawing upon inspiration from the Indiana landscape, the favorite Hoosier past-time (basketball), as well as Indiana’s most beloved, native artist, John Mellencamp, DuBois composed what he refers to as an “anthem for the Hoosier State.”

DuBois is currently in the process of booking his fall tour, which will focus mainly on full band shows in the Midwest, with a 2-3 week acoustic run in the Southeast. In 2011, DuBois was the opening act for national recording artist Bucky Covington.

DuBois has received national exposure for his music, being featured in an article for USA TODAY College. He was also the focus of a nationally syndicated AP Exchange article, which highlighted his entrepreneurial approach to his music career.
