Just Don’t Make ‘Em - This tune is about Tony’s Grandfather and his friends, and a piece of family property in Llano, TX that Tony, his father, and brothers learned to maintain and work on. The stubborn old men of that generation literally built their own houses, and expected younger men to work harder than they did. Just up the road lived Fred Ramsdell from Pennsylvania. He had an old rebel flag framed in his study that was allegedly taken by one of his relatives off of a dead Confederate soldier. Tony’s Grandfather lamented the downfall of face to face communication and people’s lack of patience toward the end of his life. He passed in 2012, and his Father in 2014. The family owns and maintains the property to this day. He did much of his writing for this record out there.
