Marionette
Marionette is about a wife’s mixed emotions about her husband after their divorce.  “lonely girls are pulled apart, mayonnaise jars upon their hearts” that line is from the 2nd vs and it means that she and her two girls who he deserted, had to freeze mayonnaise jars and sleep with them in the bed because the air conditioner didn’t work in their piece of crap house and they were left with nothing.  Can you tell this is a true story?  : )  on the other hand she remembers how head over heels in love she was and that’s where the chorus lyrics come in.   “you’re loose like a marionette, but I will carry you yet, I love my yard sale prize”  it means he was a puppet on a string and put on a show, but the when the curtains closed it was a different story.
