Lisa
Its early morning and I’m feeling grey
I know you can’t see me
Well, my eyes haven’t seen the light of day
Oh I feel I’ve gotta go my way

If a thousand ships could sail no more
I’d find a way to wash them up ashore
If a court jesters glare stood in my path
Well I’d lend an ear until he laughed

It’s such a struggle but I won’t give in
This downpour’s hitting harder
And I feel it’s underneath my very skin
Oh I feel as though as I just can’t win

Spin atop carpet designs
With her arms so open wide
I am watching where I hide
None could bear to leave this sight

Now I’m free to tear through the shrouds
I’m dancing upon his silver clouds
Branches bend to the icy cold wind, I confess
My wings well they beat just too fast for it
And I know that these times they have been very long
But please understand that my doubt is all gone
I’m tip-toeing on edges of butterfly wings
And breathing in songs of the dove’s melody
