Dennis Ledbetter - Three Acres Of Fillies At Billy's 2:32
Dennis Ledbetter is a Louisiana native who enjoys his career as a steam turbine engineer, but not nearly as much as writing and singing country music. His first recorded song in the early 80s was “Turbine Cowboy,” which (along with a four other singles), enjoyed good national airplay. Ledbetter’s dream of recording a full length CD was fulfilled in Nashville recently with some of the finest musicians available in Nashville. The title cut, If You Drive Me to Drinking (I’ll Buy the Gas), is an anti-drinking and driving song with a little fun mixed in. Released Sept. 2, 2013,

Dennis Ledbetter’s music is generating traction since he released his first single last September. “Three Acres of Fillies at Billy’s” is the latest single released to radio. Three Acres is a catchy tune in the time-honored true Western Swing tradition that motivates listeners to get up and do a little boot scootin’ on the dance floor.
"If You Drive Me to Drinking (I'll Buy the Gas)," from his debut CD of the same name, climbed to the #1 spot on the New Music Weekly Main Country Chart in January. The second single from the CD, “Bayou Self,” reached the top spot on the New Music Weekly Country Internet Main Chart and the Country Internet Top 30 Indie Chart on May 30, 2014.
Ledbetter was awarded the 2014 Best New Country Artist of the Year title by the New Music Weekly magazine. The Independent Music Network honored Ledbetter with the 2013 Country Discovery Artist award. He was also nominated by the 18th Annual Academy of Western Artists in several categories: Pure Country Male Artist, Pure Country Album, and Pure Country Song for “Three Acres of Fillies at Billy’s.”
Ledbetter recorded his 12-song CD (all written or co-written by Ledbetter) at Nashville’s Tombstone Recording with some of the finest musicians available. It was produced by Ledbetter and Tim Calhoun (Mallory Records/Nashville). Tom Harding and Travis Bingham engineered the project. The session included Nashville’s “A-Team:” Mark Prentice on bass, Gary Morse on steel guitar and dobro, Eddie Bayers on drums, JT Corenflos on lead guitar, Michael Spriggs on rhythm guitar, Michael Rojas on keyboard, Glen Duncan on fiddle, Russell Terrell, Ron Wallace, and Michelle Prentice on backup vocals.
Dennis Ledbetter is a Louisiana native and lifelong country music fan. While performing in dives, lounges, and honky tonks he cultivated a desire to write and sing his own songs. He draws his inspiration from legends like George Jones, Conway Twitty, Merle Haggard, and Hank Williams, Jr.
Ledbetter continues his quest to make a mark in the country music industry, playing venues with a new group he put together called The WTF (Wickedly Talented Friends) Band.
