Biography
West Liberty Mountain Boys are a Bluegrass group based in the heart of Eastern Kentucky near West Liberty. Starting young in music, they have really developed a unique style that resonates with lovers of Bluegrass music and beyond. The group has a distinct blend of original tunes as well as doing songs that folks know and love (or might have forgotten about).
The group started in 2015, after three friends (Byron Holbrook, Matt Bailey, Johnathan Keeton) from high school got together for a weekend of camping. Since then, the group has transformed into something special. They met bass player Ryan Gillum at their first show at YouthFest in Louisa, KY. Their style of Bluegrass is a fan favorite locally and beyond. You're sure to love the tunes they write and compose, as well as the unique covers that they make in their own style.
Their latest release "Finding New Ground" speaks for itself as being an amazing album. Featuring mostly original tunes, as well as a few cover songs by sung by greats such as, Harley Allen, Johnny Horton, Mountain Heart and others. This album is sure to become a favorite for your listeners.
