This is the ultimate song of unity for this album. It dissolves in to nothingness all the questions and answers in the other songs. When you really contemplate this line; "Like a raindrop falling into the ocean, it already is what it will become, and when we part, and our part is done, we will still be part of one." that sort of says it all.
Someone once asked me; "Corky, do you have any techniques for connecting with an audience?" I reminded him; "We are already connected." I have been blessed with a perspective and a vision where I truly love humanity a feel a deep connection very naturally. That's why I started calling everyone "cousins" in my communications. I think this is he best and most important song I've ever written. (My wife wrote it with me).
I did this song on the Chamber Blues "Different Voices" album with Matthew Santos singing it. My wife said that it was too good of a song for "me" to sing it. But we needed it on this "Truth" album. So here it is!
I should also say that the intro to this song was originally written as a introduction to the Hine Ma Tov Blues as I began working on it. Hine Ma Tove Blues is a Jewish chant for peace from Psalm 133 "How good and pleasant it is when God's people live together in unity!" It's sung by our Ukrainian Cantor, Pavel Roytman, on the brand new Chamber Blues MORE Different Voices album. The intro ended up being a whole song. Enjoy!
