It's Halloween (and It's Beautiful Out)
It’s Halloween (and It’s Beautiful Out)

Little princess, little pumpkin, little witch dressed in blue.
Tiny soldier, tiny monster, with furry legs and red shoes.
A ballerina, figure skater, spider man and, sometimes,
a pack of gum, a cone with ice cream, or just a sheet with two eyes.

It’s Halloween and it’s beautiful out.
We’ve got nothing but chocolate to worry about.
It’s Halloween and you’re holding my hand.
Oh, if this time’s the last time, well I’ll understand.

A dog named Clifford, Harry Potter, a famous singer or two
A race car driver, firefighter, sometimes I don’t have a clue.
I try to say don’t take too many, but you know that that’s not my style.
You’re only young once, take a handful and make ‘em last for a while.

It’s Halloween and it’s beautiful out.
We’ve got nothing but chocolate to worry about.
It’s Halloween and you’re holding my hand.
Oh, if this time’s the last time, well I’ll understand.

Instrumental

Oh, the moon is washing over all our faces,
with its fantasy light.
And the jack o’ lanterns gleam in every doorway—
winking good night.

Someday you’ll dress up for some office,
you’ll take your place in the ring.
But don't forget when you were young,
and could become anything.

It’s Halloween and it’s beautiful out.
We’ve got nothing but chocolate to worry about.
It’s Halloween and you’re holding my hand.
Oh, if this time’s the last time, well I’ll understand.
