The Fall
This little story is about *my* fall.

I fell in love in the summertime, but her summer-blue eyes grew up in eternal Autumn - on Pumpkin Street. I first learned of this on the eve of our wedding. It's true! We hardly knew each other, but we *did* know one thing: we belonged together, so in a moment of bliss I proposed - after just three weeks! Her reply?
"Did you just ask me to marry you?!"
"Yes," said I. She squeaked a high-pitched "Yes!!" then she ran up to every stranger in Central Park shouting "We're gonna get married!! We just got engaged!!"

So back to the eve of our wedding... when she excitedly giggled "I can't wait to see all the friends I grew up with on Pumpkin Street," I couldn't grab my guitar fast enough! The magic of my beautiful fiancé's voice and spirit unlocked this sweet story song, and I sang it for her right then and there, unwritten and unrehearsed, like the future we were about to promise to each other in the coming afternoon. Now she's *my* little girl livin' on Pumpkin Street.
