Biography
Setting out with the intention of forming a band like Train for two would be hard. This Bergen indie roots band has built up a reputation as a fascinating live band with a simple sound that is still able to deliver a diverse and passionate set to its audience of local music lovers, students and diehard Train for two fans. Great things can manifest themselves when seemingly disparate elements are thrown together, where two songwriters and personalities blend in a way that is hard to find in most music venues today.
Train for two was formed when two blues lovers Mikko Mikkonen and Jp Myklestad got together for a jam session sometime in 2007. What at first was considered a tribute to old American roots music has now evolved into a repertoire of new songs that still catches the simplicity and soul of old. The sound is that as it was meant to be played in times when musicians were only guided by their personal taste. Since its inception, the band has been quietly and steadily honing its performing and writing skills and has been seen regularly on stages around Norway and Germany.
Train for two released their debut album "Guitar pickin' and good time loving" on Jappa records in November 2010. The Album brings stories and melodies to all listeners no matter what their preferred genre is in general.
