WISHES
Gypsy girls been travellin for all her thirty years
Sometimes she wishes for the road to up and disappear
And in its place a stable home built of bricks and tin
Somewhere she can settle down grow roses in the spring

She pulls into a small town bar to rest her weary bones
A hotel room, a smoky bar the closest thing to home
She ordered up a whiskey a kind face did catch her eye
Eyes meet hearts beat worlds collide a star falls from the sky

Careful what you wish for dreams come true
Careful what you wish for when you least expect them to
Careful what you wish for a rose will have its thorns
So be careful what you wish for

Three years have gone since gypsy girl did find her one true love
Her dreams to wed and settle down were answered from above
Now she sits alone and weeps her true love up and gone
Her little heart in pieces her home no longer home

She packs up her few precious things through tears she finds her way
Out the front door down the road goodbye to yesterday

Be careful what you wish for you know wishes do come true
That 2.2 with mister right may not be right for you
Find happiness in what you have your life aint all that bad
So be careful what you wish for you cant take wishes back
