Learning To Breathe

There is rhythm deep in everyone
If we just listen close
To the drumming of our heart and lungs
Pulling tight, letting go

You can hear it like an inner voice
Though it fades away in this world full of noise
Somehow, somewhere I forgot the beat

I’m learning to breathe all over again
