Cold Wind
COLD WIND

Something in the air is what's
keepin' you awake at night
and who do you trust is just a game
not even in our sight
if everybody feels there's something wrong
then how can everything be so great
with blood on the chair
and poison in the air
how long can anyone wait?
Cold wind keeps on blowin' me around
Cold wind spins the truth right through the ground
With kindness kidnapped every day
and we're losing our shirts
and everything resting on the bottom line
this pinch is gonna hurt
And you better believe that pie in the sky
might just fall right on your face
so you won't walk out with that savings account
cause the levee in about to break
Cold wind keeps on blowin' me around
Cold wind spins the truth right through the ground
so dirty lowdown
The lyin' and spyin' are getting worse
like a cancer eating the soul
and privacy pushed to the back of the bus
and we are losing control
with freedom taking a beatin' here
ain't no place left to run
so you better draw the wagons 'round
cause this storm has just begun
Cold wind keeps on blowin' me around
Cold wind spins the truth right through the ground
so dirty lowdown...
