Have a Beer
Early on Sunday morning, I praise The Father, Ghost and Son
I head home to watch the game after church is done
When the Packers score a touchdown, I let out a cheer
And that's right about the time I have a beer

I stare out the window at my hay field of a yard
Needing to look busy but not do a job that's hard
So I start up the mower and put 'er into gear
And that's right about the time I have a beer

If I'm working or I'm praying or driving down the road
I sip on a tall glass of water that's nice and cold
But if my truck is parked in the garage and I plan to stay right here
That's right about the time I have a beer

If I'm at a bonfire or a Badger tailgate
Any type of party or out on a date
A Thursday night at bowling or after hunting deer
That's right about the time I have a beer

If I'm working or I'm praying or driving down the road
I sip on a tall glass of water that's nice and cold
But if my truck is parked in the garage and I plan to stay right here
That's right about the time I have a beer

If you're from Wisconsin, you'll know what I mean
When I say a glass of beer goes great with anything
From La Cross to Milwaukee, Beloit to Superior
No we don't need a reason, to have a beer
