Walk On Water
And the day you found God at the end of a needle
When God hit you back who picked up your head?
When you broke bread with that messiah in a bottle
Who'd you nail to the cross and leave for dead?
Well I'm not your God, I'm not your Jesus
I'm just a street corner prophet, nickel bag king
But if you're looking for a savoir of your salvation
I think you might have overlooked one thing

I'd walk on water for you
Down on my knees worship you
And I'll put my faith in you
I'd walk on water for you

When you notice that your God has forgotten all about you
That's the night that will seem as dark as your past
And somedays your pain feels like it's eternal
But the wounds will heal and that day won't last

And I know your religion will fly out a window
When it comes time to confess your sins
And I know that you're going to need plenty of forgiveness
It just so happens I need something to believe in
