In Remembrance of Me

As I walked in the door of the old country church house
I went on inside and I got me a seat
As I looked ahead facing the preacher
I saw these words “In remembrance of me”

I looked all around at the strangest faces
I used to know everyone that I see
As I bowed my head with tears and sorrow
I cried Oh Lord God have mercy on me

As I started back out of the old country church house
There stood a hill all covered with stone
Memories lie there, lost in the darkest
All that is left of loved ones gone home
