The Streets Of Chicago
I’m standing on the streets of Chicago
Thinking about my home in Tennessee
Thinking about my momma and my papa
And I wonder if they still think of me
I took a train north to Chicago
I thought it was the place for me to be
It’s 5 years now and I’m so lonesome
I’m goin’ to back home to Tennessee
I remember the log cabin in the mountains
Mom standing in our cabin door
She was waving goodbye as I was leaving
I’m goin’ back home once more
