Biography
UNSIGNED BAND PLUCKED FROM OBSCURITY TO SUPPORT KING OF ROCK'N'ROLL, CHUCK
BERRY, ON UK TOUR.

The Jawbone Band explode from tiny bar venues to major uk tour support in
less than 3 months.

John Lennon once said "If you tried to give rock and roll another name, you
might call it 'Chuck Berry'". Mr. Berry flies in from his birthday celebrations
in St. Louis for his eagerly anticipated UK tour starting on 21st November.
Chuck is credited with practically inventing rock'n'roll along with Little
Richard, his sound and musicianship was a massive influence on a young Elvis
Presley and all who came after - The Beatles, The Stones, right through to
modern rock guitar music. Quite simply without Chuck Berry there would be no
rock and roll as we know it. Chuck Berry's promotors have chosen to reinforce
his pioneering spirit by picking "up and coming" alt-country rockers The Jawbone
Band to open for him. The Jawbone Band will be the rocking along from 28th
November - 2nd December, at The Troxy (London), The Cliffs Pavilion
(Southend-on-Sea), The Bournemouth Pavillion, The Newport Centre and Brangwyn
Hall (Swansea).

Any self-respecting rock and roll fan owes it to themselves to see a true
living legend in the flesh. Coming just after his 83rd birthday, Chuck Berry
isn't letting up on his touring schedule and by giving an opening to a group
such as The Jawbone Band, his promoters show that the pioneering work continues.

ABOUT THE JAWBONE BAND:

The Jawbone Band's Giles Gooden, originally from Bournemouth, says "This is
just an amazing opportunity for us, to present our music to a new audience but
most of all to open for one of the most important names in music". The Jawbone
Band with Rob Bartolomei - formerly with Aussie rockers Frenzal Rhomb - on drums
and Simon Brown on bass were formed in 2007 and have been gigging on the
Americana and alt-country circuit in London and southern England. Notable
appearances have included support slots with Hudson and The Library at Standon
Calling and Britpop favourites Dodgy at Dingwalls in London. The Jawbone Band's
support slot with Chuck Berry follows gigs at The Islington Academy, The
Wimborne Folk Festival and regular gigs at London Americana flagship "What's
Cookin'"
