Gray skies, railroad tracks
Down by the river smoking cigarettes
Putting all that copper on the railroad track

Big river, fishing lines
Out of the water and my mind
Running from the past leave it all behind

Fox River Blues, got nothing to lose
Read between the lines, waiting for a sign

Bait shop, selling drugs
Out at the bars cuttin’ a rug
Running with the devil been down on my luck
