"What We Are" - New CD By The Grassifieds
Walkertown, NC - The Grassifieds have released their first CD in 14 years. "What We Are" is a compilation of favorite covers the band has been performing live, coupled with four original songs written by band members Jim Grubbs and Greg Barnett. Greg's original "When I Come Walking In" hasn't even been performed live yet; the COVID -19 pandemic cut short the band's touring schedule in early March. Making the most of their time under the conditions, The Grassifieds retreated to the studio (Blue Sound Underground, Clemmons, NC) and captured eleven songs for this CD. Mixed and mastered by Will Shenk at Métier Mastering, "What We Are" serves as a properly entertaining introduction to this traditional bluegrass band.
