Known for their trademark harmonies, The Four Freshmen recorded with producer Pete Drake at his Nashville studio, Pete’s Place, in 1978.The Four Freshmen featured on this recording were Bob Flanigan, John Albers, William Goodman and Dennis Grillo. In 1956, their song “Graduation Day” hit the U.S. charts as their first major single. A version recorded in 1977 with Drake is featured here as well as their versions of new songs.
Many of Nashville’s best studio players appeared on this album including Charles Cochran on piano, Bob Moore and Henry Strzelecki on bass, Grady Martin on guitar, Buddy Harmon on drums, the Nashville String Machine on strings and The Four Freshmen on horns.
