"The Chipmunk Song (Christmas Don't Be Late)" was my favorite Christmas song growing up and I wore the LP out on my Fisher-Price turntable. So when the time came to do another song for the holidays, it was the first song that popped into my head that we should do and Bud agreed that it would be a lot of fun. The fact that that song was recorded in 1958, given the infancy of recording technology at the time, really makes it amazing and Ross Bagdasarian was really a genius."
