My Baby Loves Barbecue
My Baby Loves Barbeque

She was a normal girl when I first met her
Thought that I’d give her a turn for the better
Cos for her a night on the town for her was mac and cheese
“Baby let me take you out for something special please.”

We took a ride up the avenue. Both looking for something new.
When the curling column of smoke it caught our eye.
And we pulled right in and my baby she started to cry

They had a big old pig on the sign outside
Then the door opened up and we both sighed
She fell in love with the pork on the platter
And the sauce on the table said Hot and Hotter

Now My baby loves the barbeque Bop Bop Barbeque
She loves pickin’ chicken and a licking on her fingers all day
With a plate of babyback ribs it’s a beautiful day

She ran right in, I did not have to poke her
I found her mezmerized buy the smoker.
Drooling as that juicy pig turned golden brown.
The next thing I know she was ordering by the pound

She likes the smoked brisket Wouldn’t miss it
Now baby that sure looks nice
She can pull that pork without a fork
With a side of beans and some dirty rice

We soon found ourselves on a mission
Had to find out what we were missin’
Moving from town to town down the Eastern Seaboard
Looking for the best in the West was our just reward

We hit Carolina and Memphis too
And Texas’ always what they choose
They say the only barbecue’s in the South
But the best is what is in your mouth

My baby loves the barbeque Since I brought her I got nothing to do
That’s the only place that she ever wants to go
I said, “Come on baby…my waist line is starting to show.”

I love it when it drips from her fingers down to her shoes
Ain’t no doubt about it my baby loves the barbeque
Aw baby you know I love
There is no one I would put above you
No doubt about it my baby loves the barbeque
