I see the rain coming in
Same ol’ gray clouds they’ve always been
I hang my head and I let it fall
Let the rain cover it all again, again

I feel so bad staying away from the sun
I hide inside away from everyone
But its been months now since I last saw the sky
And its been so long since I held my head up high
Up high

Summer rain coming in
Clean these eyes from where they have been
My old friend, my only disguise
Summer rain hide these eyes, oh one more time, One more time is all I need

So as I step out my front door
My first time out along this shore
And as I stand underneath the rain
With the clouds tears to hide my pain
