Sadr City

Sadr City is a suburb district of Baghdad, Iraq. This song is told from the family’s point of view. “I’m not goin’ to Sadr City, but I’d go for you”. It’s a simple line that says so much. Our military is who protects our amazing country, the land of the free because of the brave. Lots of Our Warfighter Veterans need help and to me, it’s very important to give back to the soldiers who gave us so much. My brother and brother In law are both currently serving in the Army, and my co-writer’s cousin was there, so showing my support for our military has always been near to my heart.
