Biography
Tai Lawanson’s debut album titled Chemical Imbalance was released on July 24th 2012. This album has been in the making for quite some time and fans will surely appreciate the attention spent on the production. Teaming up with some of his childhood compadres, Cristopher Rivas and Estuardo Figueroa, the trio have created ‘the’ album of the summer. With each song comes something different; loaded with some clever spins on familiar topics, tongue-in-cheek metaphors and lively song writing. Delivery and composition is something these guys don’t take for granted and it shows, making Chemical Imbalance a breath of fresh air.

“The album is all about living in the moment, enjoying life, and with that accepting the mistakes made, and keeping things moving”.

After moving to Canada at the age of 12, Tai joined his Junior High School Jazz band as the bass player and began to nurture his interest in music. It wasn’t until High School that Tai took up writing lyrics and telling stories.
Around the same time Tai met Cristopher Rivas & Estuardo Figueroa. The three lived in the same neighborhood and shared similar stories about moving to Canada, giving a serendipitous nature to their encounter. They became close friends, drawn together by their personalities and a common interest in music.
Cristopher Rivas, a producer-engineer and musician easily became the project’s technical lead. With every song he makes sure the sonic boundaries are always pushed. Estuardo Figueroa, a seasoned musician, multi-instrumentalist and production-wiz is known to create arrangements that blur the lines between musical genres. And lastly, Tai the quirky lyricist, full of clever metaphors and innuendos, ready to take advantage of every opportunity that comes their way. With the amount of talent Tai and his partners bring to the table, their presence will surely be felt now and in the years to come. You can check out the album on iTunes, CDBaby, Amazon MP3 and other distributors.
