This song has special meaning to Summer in that her great uncle and aunt met in just the manner as the two in this song. Fortunately, they were married when he was home from war on leave, then returned to war and thankfully made it home alive afterwards and they have been married now for 46 years. They have all the letters they wrote to each other during that war time being apart.
