La Rotta / Waltz from Orsa

“La Rotta” is an anonymous 14th century Italian tune that Elizabeth originally pulled from Early Music for the Harp, a book of harp
arrangements by Deborah Friou. Jim heard the “Waltz from Orsa”, a traditional Swedish tune, on a recoding of Björn Ståbi, Kalle
Almlöf and Pers Hans Olsson aptly titled Three Swedish Fiddlers. The tune’s popularity expanded when it was recorded by Sligo fiddle
players (and brothers) Seamus and Manus McGuire, along with Cork accordionist Jackie Daly on their first Buttons and Bows album.
