"..tremendous energy... technically brilliant...highly capable of bringing the emotions underlying the music to life...powerful, moving and technically refined.."
There are many pianists in classical music who are better known than Stefania Passamonte, but it would be difficult to argue that there are those who are more dedicated to their craft.  Passamonte as a talent who star has yet to see its Zenith.  Beethoven’s Dramatic Sonatas is the sort of work that could put Stefania Passamonte on the classical “it” list to stay.

Stefania Passamonte performs Beethoven’s most recognized works for piano at such a high level of technical expertise, musicianship, and emotion that they deserve to stand next some of the most storied recordings made of these historic works.
"...a truly standout record in the field...Passamonte’s technique is exquisite throughout...her flawless runs and lightning fast passages and then she firmly plants her hooks into them with her emotional interpretation of each piece. ...this album is absolutely first rate...marvelous interpretations...bring each note and phrase to life."
Though these pieces have been performed countless times over the centuries, in the hands of a master pianist like Passamonte, there is still room for new recordings of these iconic works.

Schumann-Beethoven: Symphonic Variations
The Piano Sonata Op.111 No.32 is the last of Beethoven's piano sonatas. The strong contrast between these two movements, with the triumph of Major over minor, of optimism over drama, of transcendence over passion, makes the Op.111 to be considered Beethoven’s testament to his composing research in the meaning of Life.
The Études symphoniques takes composing structure from Beethoven’s Op.111 and Diabelli Variations: the theme is amplified and transformed, and becomes the basis for unexpected divergent expressive characters.

Chopin Heroic
CHOPIN Scherzos and Polonaises

"Scherzo" is the Italian word for “joke”, a musical form used in the Classical Period as a lighthearted but virtuosic movement in a Concerto or a Sonata. Chopin transfigures its virtuosic character into a more dramatic and epic tale that stands on its own.

Chopin then chose the Polonaise as the most proud and triumphant statement of love for his distant homeland.

Beethoven Dramatic Sonatas
In the compositions of Ludwig van Beethoven, C minor is commonly regarded as a special key: works for which Beethoven chose this key are felt to be powerfully heroic and emotionally stormy.
Therefore this program of Beethoven’s Dramatic Sonata starts and conclude with the same tonality.
