"Last month right before the shutdowns occurred due to Covid-19 pandemic my long-time friend and song writer Pat Melfi sent me a rough sketch of this song and asked if I’d re-work it. After changing a few lyrics and the feel of the song, which I was hearing as a more acoustic organic percussive vibe with keyboards. On percussion is my friend John Mahon from Elton John’s band who delivered exactly what I was hearing. Joining him on keyboards
is my longtime pal Skip Edwards. Skip played with Dwight Yoakum for years and is featured on every one of his hits. This song was mixed by Grammy Award Winning engineer Dave Way.

In light of, or sadly, in this dark period that the world is experiencing right now, this song seems fitting. The title is “You Matter To Me”. Being just another soul on this planet of 7 and a half billion, I can speak for everyone involved here in saying that, you matter to us, in every way.
