While the folklorist in Tom would like to claim that he thinks of this as Laws' Native American Ballad C19 or at least as a song from the Folkways "Mountain Music of Kentucky" album, truth be told, Tom still pictures Peter Stampfel singing it as the opening act for a concert by Cream in 1969. Jerry's arrangement and Kyle Dean's vocal hopefully puts it in a much better context.
