Sound Biscuit Announces New Bluegrass Gospel Release by Kenny Stinson & Perfect Tym'n: "I'll Stick With The Old Stuff."
Sound Biscuit Records is proud to announce the upcoming release of "I'll Stick With The Old Stuff," a new single by Kenny Stinson & Perfect Tym’n available on August 9, 2024. This powerful bluegrass gospel track, written by the talented Stephen Paul Phillips, marks their second release with Sound Biscuit Records.
"I'll Stick With The Old Stuff" is not only a testament to the enduring power of faith but also a celebration of the rich heritage of Bluegrass Gospel music. The song contrasts various religious beliefs with the steadfastness of Christianity, emphasizing the timeless power of the Gospel.
The song features vocals by Ronda Stinson with Kenny Stinson on mandolin and harmony vocals, Andy Stinnett playing guitar and Gavin Stinson on bass.
Kenny Stinson & Perfect Tym'n, known for their high-energy performances, have carved a unique niche in the Bluegrass genre. Drawing inspiration from Kenny Stinson's diverse musical background, including stints with legendary acts like Jimmy Martin's Sunny Mountain Boys, Gary Waldrep, and David Davis, the band brings a blend of tradition and innovation to their music and live shows.
Ronda Stinson, the lead vocalist, has been destined to sing for the Lord since her early years. Born into a Christian home with her father as her Pastor and her sisters in a Southern Gospel Group, Ronda began singing on stage at the age of 5. Her sisters further nurtured her talent by teaching her to sing parts, helping her develop the remarkable ear for music that she possesses today. Ronda has been gracing stages in churches, schools, and various venues ever since, with her ultimate goal being to lead someone to the Lord and to let everyone see Jesus in her.
Reflecting on the song, Ronda shared, "I chose this song because I believe we need to return to our roots with preaching, praying, singing, and shouting. God has not changed; we have. The name over the door should not mean a thing. It is a one-on-one relationship with Jesus Christ who is sufficient for all situations in life."
