S.O.L.O. "DA POPE"

Born in Chicago, raised in Robbins, Illinois better known as "MUDVILLE", S.O.L.O. “Da Pope” has bared witness to the troubles in and outside of the windy city. At the age of 8 he was introduced to the melodies of Bone Thugs-n-Harmony. He wanted to be a rapper beforehand but when they hit the scene he knew what sound he wanted to go wit. It was significant, it was new, and he could relate to them. Around the time he decided that he wanted to become an M.C., he was also introduced to the melodies of the south! Being exposed to many environments, cities, and cultures only gave him the chance to produce a sound today that’s like none other!
Being from Chicago has forced him to grow into a leader and not a follower, a threat and not a victim, an example and a trendsetter. From past experiences with those who tampered with his way of life made him into the beast he is today, therefore the same energy is shown on and off the stage. S.O.L.O. “Da Pope” knew what it meant to become diverse at an early age and to adapt to whatever state or city he traveled to. Because of consistent trips back and forth from Chicago and Memphis he created his own sound known as "SOUTHERN-CHI"! He says this deadly combination gives him an individual sound creating a new genre for the next generation to follow! Through the years he did more traveling through different cultures and his sound became more and more universal to the ear of those who listened!
The first time S.O.L.O. “Da Pope” emerged as a rap artist was at the age of 18. He had been getting exposure beforehand but it wasn’t until 18 that he realized that Allah gave him a gift to control the masses through his music. He came from being an undiscovered artist at a show to being a headliner at the end of one. Crowds sat at the edge of their seats waiting for the energetic moves and lyrical content of this performing piece of art. On and off the stage, S.O.L.O. “Da Pope” conducts himself as a businessman bringing the full package with the intellect, sex appeal and hunger of an animal. His persona, brainwashing lyrics, extraordinary delivery, dynamic presentation, and approach to the industry make him stand out more than the average person/artist. He also knows that life is a challenge and many need correction and direction so he represents life for what it is worth. "DISCIPLINE OF ONE SELF IS THE RESULT OF LEADERSHIP AS LEADERSHIP IS THE RESULT OF ONE NATION" he says!
S.O.L.O. “Da Pope’s” mission is to be the new innovator and spokes person for his people. His vision is to become successful in the industry and lead a movement shining through his music and lyrics. S.O.L.O. “Da Pope” has taken several records to #1 on the billboard charts including him as a featured artist on one of them! Also if he hasn’t won a rap completion he placed in every last one of them! S.O.L.O. “Da Pope” has tested his boundaries and succeeded in every journey conquering the focus of every audience! He will continue to claim his throne as being "DA POPE OF CHICAGO" because the position he holds can never be over thrown until he dies! S.O.L.O. “Da Pope” plans to make his mark in the world with his debut album “The Birth of SOUTHERN-CHI” which will be coming soon! In the meantime he will be pushing his 1st exclusive single “Bird Walk” from the album and show the world the true meaning of guerilla marketing! His album will be filled with creativity, reality, animation, and controversial topics! His name alone and what he represents separates him from a minority. Setting his own lane and reinventing the will for up and coming artists has put him in a position to prevail in life and help others in the process!
