Cloud 9
As I stepped off the plane there was a man holding a sign
with my name, he had a funny smirk, no hair,
safari shorts and a flower shirt, he said
follow me and I'll show you the way
To the jeep that will take you to your hideaway
just then we were at a beach
With beautiful women as far as my eyes could reach
And I said
Hey man what’s this palace called
Well he grinned and said
You ain't seen the half of it all
And you’ll dream no dreams that compare
To the life that I've found here
So savor all these moments that unwind
Here on Cloud 9
And just when I thought things couldn't get any better
Well they did, ‘cause I woke to see my new brides eyes looking into mine
And a knock at the door bringing in more, food and wine
So just to be sure I pinched her and she smiled and said
I know what going on in your head
So why don't we just stay here in bed
‘Cause I’ve dreamed no dreams that compare
To the love we share
I’m learning to savor the moments that unwind
Here on Cloud 9
Well I must have been dreaming, cause when I woke up this morning
There was two kids jumping on my bed, and the smell of burnt a pan of bacon
They said c’mon daddy wake up, it's your birthday birthday breakfast
Mom let us fix you something special downstairs
So when I got to the table, and took a good look around
At the faces of my family I found
‘Cause I’ve dreamed no dreams that compare
To the life that we share
I’m learning to savor the moments that unwind
Here on Cloud 9
Yeah, I’ve dreamed no dreams that compare
To the life that we share
I’m learning to savor the moments that unwind
Here on Cloud 9
