Another Sunday
I get the recap second hand, of the little league game
And I listen intently, but it’s just not the same
I wish I could be there watching, and cheering too
Not the absent father who can't cash his I O U’s
I need another Sunday, not another workday
Just a little more time with the ones I love
‘Cause I don't get enough, my life’s not balanced enough
Need a little more time for memories of us
I pray the one day, at work I’ll have a little more say
But until that day comes, I need another Sunday
I dream of being in my backyard, with a barbeque
Enjoying that extra day with the family that’s long overdue
It don’t matter if we hang out there or go to the beach
Or drive to the mountains and fish in the creek
I need another Sunday, not another workday
Just a little more time with the ones I love
‘Cause I don't get enough, my life’s not balanced enough
Need a little more time for memories of us
I pray the one day, at work I’ll have a little more say
But until that day comes, I need another Sunday
More time with the little ones
More loving from my woman
And less time away
More relaxing, more satisfaction
I need another Sunday
I need another Sunday, not another workday
Just a little more time with the ones I love
Cause I don't get enough, my life’s not balanced enough
Need a little more time for memories of us
I pray the one day, at work I’ll have a little more say
But until that day comes, I need another Sunday
I need another Sunday
