Biography
R. Wesley Carr is a multi-instrumentalist and songwriter from rural Illinois. He attended Northern Illinois University where he studied classical music with Fareed Haque. He continued his music education at East Tennessee State University where he earned a degree in bluegrass, country, and Old-time music.

In 2019, Wes won the National Mandolin Championships held in Winfield, Kansas. He followed this up the next year with a win in the NewSong songwriting showcase (religion category).

Wes' first full length album features Greg Cahill (banjo: Special Consensus), Becky Buller (fiddle) Clint Morgan (Guitar), and Danny Lopatka (Bass).
