Tropical Blues

Out on the verandah, feelin so hot
It’s that weather we get, it’s over the top - can feel those
Tropical blues
This time of the year I think we’re quite mad
The mercury’s boiling there’s no fun to be had … just these
Tropical blues


The canefields are burning there’s ash everywhere,
The stormclouds are churning way up in the air.
It gets so thick that you can hardly breathe
That monsoon season starting to heaveAin’t no white xmas in Australia yet.
when you’re travelling out the further north you get, you get those…Tropical blues

The outback is dusty and hot as hell
But this time of the year it can be wet as well ah those
Tropical blues.
On the northern coast we get the tropical heat.
Humidity’s 100 that’s bittersweet.
Mosquitos bite you till you go insane.
We all go troppo - round the bend again.
