Biography
For Humble, born Simon Jonathan Vassell in the small township of Redditch England, 2007 has proven to be quite a successful year. To start the year off the singer/songwriter
earned a Juno nomination for his debut album "Hard to See", followed up by
awards for "Artist of the Year" and "Album of the Year" at the 2007 Reggae Achievement Awards; last but not least, "Best Reggae Song" at the Global Marijuana Music Awards for his herb hit "High Grade"held in Australia. To add to his achievements, Humble had three songs used in the soundtrack of Global TV's new hit series "Da Kink In My Hair". Add stage performances in
Jamaica (St. Mary Mi Come From), Montreal (Reggae Festival), Calgary (Reggae Festival), and performances in Japan all while completing his sophomore album under the Palm of Gold recording label.
There's clearly no stopping this Lion as he's set to conquer 2008.
Humble has opened for many international artists such as Junior Kelly, popular dub poet Mutabaruka, Tony Rebel, Queen Ifrica and roots reggae's legendary Abyssinnians to name a few. Humble has also worked with many of Trinidad and Tobago's reggae artists such as Jamelody, Prophet Benjamin and Khari Kill.

Everything (Release Date: Oct 2008 Palm Of Gold Records)
'Everything'
Is an album filled with a roots reggae theme with touches of honest heartfelt written songs of hope, love and redemption for all people searching for a brighter outlook on life. "Life is Everything" is the main motto of Humble's sophomore album. This album gives indication of positive vibrations throughout the entire album, lacking of degenerating lyrics and ego driven mind frame. The acoustic arrangements display the artists genuine intentions to bring this message across without bias to musical genre or class. This is an album sure to gain the respect of many, even those not familiar with roots reggae music. Definitely an album worth the dollar.

XLR8R Magazine Review:
Humble -“Hi-Grade”
Humble is the most requested Canadian artist on my radio program, Rebel Music. His voice is unique, his songwriting is traditionally rootsy but utterly modern and provocative. “Hi-Grade” won the 2007 International Marijuana Music Awards reggae song category, and it is quite possible that the young and talented Humble is the Canadian artist most likely to succeed outside Canada. His music blazes a fire wherever he goes, he performs all over the world and women swoon. Need I say more?
