Joe Deetz, banjo player, had a dream about a month before Rock Hearts was scheduled to return to Nashville to record their debut project with The 615 Hideaway Record Label. Joe woke early one morning recalling that in the dream, lead singer Alex MacLeod, and six-time IBMA Female Vocalist of the Year, Dale Ann Bradley, were singing together on the beautiful Carroll/Hiter/Thomas gospel, Driving Nails.
MacLeod reached out to Bradley who graciously agreed to sing on the gospel, a fresh take on the song featuring a duet with male/female co-leads and harmonies.
“Dale Ann Bradley is a gift to Bluegrass Music and the world in general,” MacLeod stated. He adds, “We performed it together once at a festival in Vermont which went over really well, and since then, Dale Ann has been such a wonderful human being to see and speak with on the road.” MacLeod closed by saying, “Dale Ann Bradley’s delivery on this song, complimented with the touching lyrics, will soften the hardest of hearts.”
