Sister to a Brother

Sister to a Brother is about an old girl friend who cheated on me. One night she wouldn't let me come into the house and later I discovered she was hiding a bloke in her room and that was the end of our relationship. It was like a scene from a bad movie. I felt bitterly betrayed and deeply hurt for a time, but after writing this song I felt a lot better. I now look back on this event and can laugh but at the time it was difficult.

She was a fragile person at the end of the day and she was many things to many people. Sister to a Brother, Daughter to her Mother and Lover to another. She never gave any time to herself and she was in many ways lost.

Our relationship was very fast and passionate and that doesn't always lead to a lasting bond.

I hope she found happiness.
