Wildflower
Wildflower
(Maria Catone / Robert Weston)

She was a wildflower
Wild and free
Gorgeously chaotic
Laughing happily
Remember the good times
That we had and smile
When these flowers
Bloom out there in the wild

Plant some seeds and see
If they grow taller than I used to be
I will be looking down
As they pop-up from the ground
I used to walk
No need to cry, I’m happy here
Just know that I’m near
When they come back
Every year

She loved the mountains
And the rolling hills
The way the sun set
Over Lanternman’s mill
She'd sing to the birds
And dance in the rain
She was alive
And couldn’t be contained

Chorus

Through the fields and the skies
Until we meet again, goodbye
She may be gone
but not forgotten
In the petals of a wildflower
We'll keep her memory soft as cotton

Chorus
