This true story tells of a delusional alcoholic on the verge of suicide. R.D. sings out the
last moments of his friend’s life who sat at a table talking to his bottle of Johnnie Walker
Red before taking his life. The severity of his alcoholism was so deep that he wanted to
take “Johnnie” with him to his grave. Sadly, friends, family and law enforcement tried,
but couldn’t stop the drastic event. The music sets a mood of despair as R.D. tells of his
friend’s last thoughts. The guitar break is excellent and is an integral part of the song, as
are the sad lyrics and woeful vocals.
