Three years gone by trying to sell the old store
The real estate agent don’t call anymore
So at 7am Laurie comes out again
And opens up for the day

At seventy three you just want to be
Spending your time side by side
Lazily cruising up river
And drifting away on the tide


Pelican sits on the sandbar
Catching the afternoon sun
Cormorant hangs out his wings to dry, And
