For Me, It’s Hello

I stood by the bedside on the day mama died
i still remember it hurt bad inside
She looked up and smiled i was the apple of her eye
Oh mama please mama please don’t say goodbye

Take care of yourself don’t worry about me
I planed for this journey a long time you see
And i will see Jesus and the loved ones i know
Oh it won’t be goodbye. For me, it’s hello

This world has its hardships Mama you’ve had your share
But she held us together through love and through prayer
Always for others your life you have lived
You’d give all you had there’s no more to give

She then closed her eyes oh the room was a glow
though i did not see them it was angels i know
They left her frail body but they carried her away
Oh Mama I’ll see you in heaven someday
