Album Description:

Pickin’ on Van Zant takes the southern vibe of the brothers’ music and thrusts it into more rustic environs. The country energy of Van Zant’s music is further enhanced by some ace bluegrass musicians. Blazing banjo fills and smoking mandolin runs replace guitar solos and chugging rhythms on such hits as “Takin’ Up Space” and “Help Somebody.”

The pomp of the original songs is transformed into more restrained, but no less passionate bluegrass instrumentals. Get right with this special album—you won’t be able to help yourself.
