Little Arlo Writes Things Down - Spoken Word
Disc 2, tracak 9 (1:25)
After Woody wrote "This Land is Your Land," the song was shortened to fit radio airplay and several of its most sociopolitically critical verses were dropped. On a visit home from the hospital where Woody was being treated for Huntington's Disease, the neurological disorder that eventually killed him, he dictated two missing verses of the song to his 7-year-old son Arlo so they wouldn't be forgotten, and added a third, previously unheard verse: "No one living can ever stop me/This land was made for you and me."
