8. BLOW THIS WORLD
Blow This World

I’m gonna blow this world, leave it behind
Blow it up with hope, mercy and pride
I will hold you close like a shiny dime
Lay down beside you, rest awhile

Talk to me straight tell me the truth
Hold nothing back I can take it
We walk through this world it’s hotter than hell
With the busted, angry, abandoned, abandoned

Yes I’m gonna blow this world, leave it behind
Blow it up with hope, mercy and pride
I will hold you close, just like a shiny dime
Lay down beside you and rest awhile

Hustlers, haters, flickering screens
Who treats a woman like that?
They say things have changed but just look around
Some peoples’ hearts are as dark as they always been

If this is the breaks they’re cold and hard
Hard as the people who come here
My mama she bled, she did not survive
And I took the way of the wilder, the wilder

But I’m gonna blow this world, leave it behind
Blow it up with love, mercy and pride
I will hold you close like a shiny dime
Lay down beside you and rest awhile

I take a good look around it’s all I can stand
To tell you the truth I can’t fake it no more
We walk these streets it’s like fire and ice
With the hungry and lonely, forsaken, forsaken

So we’re gonna blow this world, leave it behind
Blow it up with hope, mercy and pride
I‘m gonna hold you close, just like a shiny dime
Lay down beside you and rest awhile, rest awhile

Soft tango breathing, sense and sweat, intention locked in lock-step
Thorn of rose, one pure drop of blood, perfume intoxicates
Wills battle as wills become one, deep sway and dip, hip to hip
Fire seething smoldering deep down within
Bellows gasp as violin bow poised in quick turn, click of heel
Cheek brushes cheek and muscles of thigh rippling entwine
Soft tango breathing, only the nighttime silent witness embracing caress
Two steps from a kiss *

Your beliefs become your thoughts, your thoughts become your words
Your words become your, your actions become your habits
Your habits become your values, your values become your destiny **
