That Fork In the Road
Clouds of war grew heavy, in eighteen sixty two
Families were torn as hostilities grew
The love of many brothers began to erode
As they parted ways, at that fork in the road

Chorus
At that fork in the road, many brothers would part
Leaving many mothers with sad broken hearts
Praying that the fate, of their sons would not be sealed
If they should meet one day, on some bloody battlefield

Verse 2
One brother would ride south, and the other would ride north
Each had his own reason, for what it all was worth
But as they parted ways, and the seeds of war were sewed
They would never meet again, at that fork in the road
Repeat Chorus

Verse 3
at times they would wonder, what their future might be
Not knowing on which battlefield, they might one day meet
Or if they’d loose their life, by their brothers own hand
As those forks in that road divided this great land
Repeat Chorus
